As you may already know, oak porches have become a popular and growing addition to many homes. We typically use air-dried oak for these structures, as it tends to be more stable and less prone to movement compared to green oak. Each porch is bespoke, tailored to your specific needs, but we always recommend protecting the main truss with an elegant fascia overhang for added durability. Additionally, we often enhance the aesthetic appeal of our porches by incorporating oak boarding on the ceiling, with the ridge and rafters left exposed.

 

Canopies are a traditional feature that can truly transform the entrance of a property. For these, we generally use Accoya or Trycoya, chosen for their exceptional durability and performance properties. The canopies are finished with hardwood profiles and a plywood roof, ready for leadwork. We also specialise in slated pitched roof porches and canopies, ensuring a high-quality, timeless result.
